Raman Reti is an easily accessible location for the Doctors and Caregivers who need to attend to patients in emergencies, or be on-call, around the clock. It is also close to town for immediate access to emergency cases, and for injured and sick street cows to be transported by local means.

With your help and support, CFC has established the only Laboratory in Vrindavan offering veterinary screening to the public, free of charge. From its humble beginnings, eight years ago, with minimal funding, it now provides food, shelter, and medical care and lifetime accommodation for abandoned cows, bulls, retired oxen and orphaned calves arriving from Vrindavan, Govardhan, Varshana and Mathura.

Raman Reti affords easy, safe access for donors and visitors as it is only a short walk or rickshaw ride from the ISKCON Temple. CFC funding relies heavily on donations in order to keep running and for this reason its current location ensures easy access for visitors.

As soon as I realized that I didn't need meat to survive or to be in good health, I began to see how forlorn it all is. If only we had a different mentality about the drama of the cowboy and the range and all the rest of it. It's a very romantic notion, an entrenched part of American culture, but I've seen, for example, pigs waiting to be slaughtered, and their hysteria and panic was something I shall never forget.
